Adults after Dubai remember Burj Khalifa and the budget of the trip, children - amusement parks, and all together - the aquarium in Dubai Mall.

I will tell you how to buy a ticket cheaper than on the official website, and what is it about the aquarium that everyone goes inside - despite the fact that its inhabitants can be seen from the outside.

Informational reference, without which there is no way:

  • The Dubai Mall aquarium is the largest in the world.
  • Opened in 2008.
  • More than 140 species of marine inhabitants and the largest "settlement" of sand sharks swim here.

How to get to the aquarium in Dubai Mall? Working hours

The Dubai Aquarium is located in the Dubai Mall (approx. Shopping center next to Burj Khalifa). Spread over two floors, it's hard to miss.

- Metro station is 20 minutes on foot Burj Khalifa / Dubai Mall Metro Station... Metro fares: from 5 to 15 dirhams (100-300 rubles), depending on the distance of your station.
- A taxi ride is calculated using a taximeter. For example, from La Mer beach to the mall, between which there is a little more than 6 kilometers, they are taken for 20 dirhams (400 rubles), if there are no traffic jams.

Opening hours of Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo: Sunday to Wednesday - from 10:00 to 22:00; from Thursday to Saturday - from 10:00 to 00:00.
How much does it cost to enter the aquarium: from 169 dirham (3400 rubles), but there is a better offer aquarium + Burj Khalifa.

I would like to note that, as in all the sights of Dubai, it is better to come to the aquarium right before the opening, or a couple of hours before closing - so as not to waste time in the queue.

What is the Dubai Mall aquarium? What can you see inside?

The aquarium in Dubai Mall consists of 2 zones:

  • the aquarium itself with a 48-meter tunnel passing through it
  • and an underwater zoo with small aquariums and jungle.

One of the walls of this water kingdom is visible to all visitors of the shopping center. Crowds of tourists gather here, and everyone is waiting for not just a well-fed fish to swim, but someone bigger - a stingray, a shark or a man with a scuba diving (he is distributing food).

The transparent tunnel inside - with a view of 270 degrees - entered the book of records as the largest in the world. Basically, you are at the bottom of a 10 million liter aquarium with panoramic views. It causes strange sensations: sharks swim from above, stingrays on the side, motley fish mixed up, giants-snails stuck to the walls, and a thought creeps in, are you not food? ..

The underwater zoo is many, many smaller aquariums of completely different shapes - rectangular, round, oval - with all kinds of marine life. Everything is much closer and more diverse: turtles, jellyfish, penguins, huge parrots (yes, in the aquarium). You will be offered to feed them in a rather unusual way. How? Find out on the spot :) Children will find it most interesting here. If you're lucky, you'll be able to see baby sharks!

The general route through the aquarium looks like this: first go through the tunnel, then go up to the second floor to the zoo. There is a mini-excursion with a guide, he will tell you more about how the largest underwater world works in the largest shopping center, how they artificially grow algae and other organisms for an aquarium.

In general, it is difficult to imagine the dissatisfied reviews of tourists about the aquarium - it has a shade of uniqueness, and the scope of work is truly amazing. You can only be indignant with a free view from the square in the shopping center - a child (or even yourself) cannot be taken anywhere from here, except inside!

Aquarium ticket prices in 2021 - pass options

  • The price for a regular ticket to the aquarium and zoo in Dubai Mall is 108 aed (2170 rubles), children under 3 are free.
  • But it is more profitable to book a combined ticket: aquarium, zoo + observation Burj Khalifa - it costs 225 aed (4500 rubles) for adults and 190 aed (3800 rubles) for children from 3 to 11 years old. Counting separately, the entrance to the tower and to the aquarium is AED 262, saving nearly AED 40. Or 800 rubles.

All links point to the official aquarium ticket seller and Burj Khalifa. We climbed the tower and passed all the lines. The only small minus of the combo ticket: you visit everything in one day. But the time binding only works for the tower, you can look into the aquarium at any time (on the same day).

In addition to the standard program, there is a set of additional "whims" for your money: for example, scuba diving (1210 dirham) or snorkeling in a cage (370 dirham) or meeting with sharks (790 dirham)!

How much time to plan to visit?
Tourists allocate about 1.5 hours for the aquarium and underwater zoo. At least another 1 hour minimum - to the Burj Khalifa viewpoint, if you take a combo.

On a note.

The main competitor of the Dubai Aquarium is the aquarium at the Atlantis Hotel. It is smaller in scale, but also popular among tourists in Dubai. A day ticket to the Atlantis Water Park and Aquarium costs 289 dirhams (5800 rubles). An interesting alternative.

What excursions did we visit in Dubai?

We have been to the UAE 4 times, and on each of the trips we visited different excursions and places in Dubai, about the most interesting - excursions / attractions - we wrote detailed articles on the links.

But if you do not want to go over and read, below I will leave a list of the best entertainment, in our opinion:

  • Jeep Safari - from $ 40
  • Speedboat in Dubai Marina - from $ 28
  • Helicopter flight over the city - from $ 177
  • Climbing Burj Khalifa - from $ 42
  • Hot air balloon flight - from $ 340

Reviews of tourists about the aquarium in Dubai Mall - 2021

Tourists, judging by the reviews and their number, really like this aquarium - most of them are advised to visit the Burj Khalifa at once (from myself I will add, if you have never been to such sites, it is definitely worth it).

For 2020 and 2021, there are fewer tourists, which is natural, but those who visit leave good reviews.

Maria: “Burj Khalifa was impressed - the speed of the elevator, the views on the 124th floor. By the way, this is quite enough, you should not overpay above. The zoo and the aquarium are also wonderful - both children and adults will love it. "

Lyudmila: “We liked the package offer Aquarium + Observation, the organization is excellent. They came with e-tickets, they changed them out of line for us, and we went up to the observation deck. The variety of fish and other animals is impressive. "
